Totally Paper Crafts Challenge #132 - sketch. Nice sketch this week. Love the simple design. I've taken simple and jazzed it up a bit with Silver Glimmer Paper #124005 and Gumball Green Core'dinations  cardstock #127847 from Stampin' Up! I've also used Candlelight Christmas DSP #126901. I used the Stripes Folder #123128 on my Core'dinations cs then sanded lightly. That's the terrific thing about this new cs from Stampin' Up! Love the added texture and dimension you get when you dry emboss and sand. Oh and I almost for got the biggest, brightest and betest thing about this card is the 3-D snowflake created using the Snow Flurry Bigz Die #127813.

The Paper Players Challenge #110 - use the sketch.

 

Very CAS simple sketch. For my card I decided to use some NEW Stampin' Up! Products from the Holiday Catalog. I stamped the ornaments from Ornament Keepsakes #128051 (C) #128048 (W) in Gumball Green and Real Red. Then I used the Holiday Ornaments Framelits Die to cut them out. I added some mini brads and some silver gel pen to dress them up a bit. The sentiment was stamped using Merry & Type #122552 (C) #122550 (W). I added a little bling with the Rhinestones.

MOJO MONDAY #256. I'm not a big fan of round cards. Well let me rephrase that, I am not a fan of MAKING round cards. I don't normally have much success. I've seen round cards make by other cardmakers and I drool over them. But for me the process isn't usually much fun. You see I don't make great circles. But this die I used was perfect and I love the way this card turned out. Hope the peeps at Verve are impressed enough to give me a nod. :O)

My take.
I love these snow people and they just look so cute, like they are in love but very shy about it. My sentiment says, "snowbuddy likes you as much as me!" Too cute, Right?

CCC#38 FAITH

Christmas Card Challenges #38 - Faith. I love this Stampin' Up! set The Sounding Joy. That flourish of JOY really is beautiful! The words to Joy to the World are stamped in Whisper White on Real Red dsp. The word Joy was stamped in Cherry Cobbler and heat embossed. The Real Red cs was embossed in the Vintage Wallpaper ef that I slathered with Cherry Cobbler ink. I always like to highlight with Stampin' Up! rhinestones. The dies are Spellbinders.

MOJO Monday 255 & TPP109

MOJO MONDAY #255 & The Paper Players #109 (paper piecing).

I think this MOJO sketch is very MOJO-rific! I used Stampin' Up! dsp to piece my tree and birdie, to stick with the theme of The Paper Players challenge. I liked the effect of the pattern on the tree as it made it look like garland. I added some stickles to make more garland and some snow. I stickled the ornaments as well. I added stickles ot my little stamped Santa hat too. Merry Merry Christmas to you!

Crack that Glossy

Ok, I like it but I am not in LOVE with it. However, at least now I know I can accomplish the technique! Next time I will try it on a much smaller scale.

Technique : stamp your image. Then cover completely with Versa Mark. Then cover completely with embossing powder and heat. Repeat about 3 or 4 times. Let image cool completely, then whack it a few times on the side of your desk. Once it's cracked to your liking, stain it with some distressing ink. Rub it into the cracks. Call it done!!!

Mrs. Frpsty. Isn't she just the cutest?! This stamp started out as just a snowman. But my very artisticly talented frien Nancy Cook added the girl accessories and this is the result. I only colored her with Stampin' Up! markers and stickles. This is a cute sketch and very easy to bling it up or just leave "fresh".

Color Throw Down #204 - Basic Gray, Poppy Parade, Very Vanilla and Pumpkin Pie. I have to say this is one of my favorite color combos. I think it's because it puts me in mind of fall. You know these are totally Halloween colors. But for me I didn't go with the predictable. I chose a romantic feel for my card. Hope you like it!

Better late than never! Sorry I am behind today with posting my SoftPencil Tuesday project. Time just got away from me. But here they are Sunny, Charming and Amy - friends. Charming and Amy are SoftPencil stickers and today I am usng the Sunny digital. Now Sunny may look a little odd as I cut away the little flowers and bits of grass. That just demonstrates how versatile all these items are. Mixing and matching stickers and digital is a simple and fun way to give a little depth and character to your project. For instance, Sunny's body was adhered directly to the cs where, his/her ears are raised on dimensional adhesives. Give this technique a try! I know you will love the results!

Christmas Card Challenges #36 - NEW! That's right, this challenge is to use something NEW. So I used my new Chevron EF to make my trees. I die cut them and then ran them through the Big Shot with the Chvron ef. Then I used my Stickles to decorate my tree. Added some stickers and some Stickles snow. I love the CAS - ness of it. How bout you???

Freshly Made #46

The Freshly Made Sketch

My take on the sketch.

I received this new SU set Reason to Smile in the mail this week and I wanted to play with the flowers. In the set you get this flower, both the solid and the outlined stamps. I stamped the solid in Daffodil Delight. Then I stamped the outlines using Tangerin Tango & Lucky Limeade markers to ink up my stamps. Huffed and stamped. I was so pleased with the first one I added two more. The sentiment is from the My Friend stamp set. I stamped hello in Cherry Cobbler and then added some Lucky Limeade around the edges. I craft cut around the swirl then using the Apothecary Accents Dies I cut both the sentiment and the image. I am loving the NEW DSP International Bazaar! I die cut another Apothecary Accent and cut it in half to matte my image. Piercing is so much fun and I find it always adds a little something extra to a project. My cardstock is Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White and Tangerine Tango. I've added some SU ruffled ribbon and an orange Brights Designer Button with Calypso Coral and Pear Pizzaz twine.
