Using my Christmas Presents

Hi! Happy New Year's Eve!!!

I hope everyone has a safe and happy new year.

Now to my Christmas presents.
Below is a card I made using a book my hubs gave me for Christmas. The book is titled Paper Pop Up by Dorothy Wood. There are 40 dynamic designs in this book. I chose to make the Mother's Day Magic card. Simply because it was something new to me. Outside sort of plane and simple (not the design in the book).

Inside a POP OUT vase for some pretty little paper flowers!

Following the pattern in the book, I traced and cut out the vase for the flowers, away from the green decorative cs. I cut the vase into the light pink cs and pushed it through the opening in the green cs. (You can see a little shadow from the flowers I glued into the vase.) I added Ranger liquid pearls to the vase to dress it up a little.

Hope you like it.

Christmas is passed

I sure hope this Christmas was a blessing for you. Mine truly was. We got to spend the holidays with our family. It was so wonderful. We had such a great visit with my parents, sister and our children and grandson. Time flew by of course. But we made the best of it.

My hubs gave me a Light Pad for Christmas. Here I used a deep purple cardstock and some Lindy's Stamp Gang Embossing Powder in Desert Moon Turquoise. I love Lindy's eb powders because they all have an iridescence to them. The photo was taken using my Light Pad. It was all totally an experiment. BUT, I love it!

What did you get for Christmas? Was there 1 special gift that you like most? Or were they each a great gift?

Thanks for peeping in today.

I wish you a very Happy New Year 2015!
May we all be blessed with health, wealth and happiness!

SUPERChristmas

Hello! Yes I am finally back. It's been quite some time but I am happy to say, my leg is healing up very nicely. Doctor seems more than pleased, so, so am I!

Below is a card my youngest asked me to make for her to send to a pen pal in Bulgaria. They play an online game and chat together. They both like penguines and she is a Thor fan and he is a Batman fan. So to some of you this card will make absolutely no sense. To them it will be perfect. She's coming by today to pick it up. I wanted to get it posted before she comes. That's why I didn't get the photos all tidied up before posting.
The sentiment reads: save santa a trip...be naughty.
I printed 4 of the superhero images and cut pieces for a 3-d effect. The sentiment reads : wishes for a Christmas that's Super!
I hope everyone had a blessed Thanksgiving. Ours was very nice. My sister came and brought my parents and all of their dogs. I only got a picture of my sister's Rat Terriers, Gracie and George.

Now to get to my Christmas card list.

Please take time to enjoy the season that is upon us. Don't get caught up in the hustle and the bustle of it all. Remember, Jesus is the reason for the season.
